Valentine’s Day is this week, which is a time when we focus on the heart. If you are resisting this celebration, because you do not have a special person in your life or the one you have upsets you, I would like to help you reframe how you look at this day.
The only one who can fully embrace your heart and fill it with love is you. Others can support your heart with kind acts and words of praise, but ultimately you are the one who accepts what is presented.
I suggest you start today, before February 14th and make a list of all the things you like about yourself. Recall the people in your life, both present and past, who you have loved and supported. It will only take a short time, but you will find this will give you a new perspective and open your heart.
When your heart is open you can then focus on the love which is abounding around you. See if this exercise makes a difference for you on Valentine’s Day.
