When anger arises, don’t let anger control you, ask yourself – Am I angry or afraid?
Afraid of what?
- Doing something wrong?
- You will say what you don’t mean?
- Will someone lash back at you?
- Is someone is going to hurt you?
- Afraid of being sad?
Anger may seem like it comes on all of a sudden, but your body is sending signals that rage is on its way. What are the warning signs that you are going to lose it?
Listen to your body. Stop before you lose control.
What does anger feel like?
- Knots in your stomach
- Clenching your hands or jaw
- Feeling clammy or flushed
- Breathing faster
- Pacing or needing to walk around
- “Seeing red”
- Having trouble concentrating
- Pounding heart
- Tensing your shoulders
Once you feel the triggers in your body do this:
- Stop what you are doing.
- Sit down and take deep breaths.
- Bring your thoughts back into the present time by observing your surroundings.
- Look at three different things around you, a lamp, the rug, a tree, a window.
That alone will stop your obsessive thoughts.
Look for other factors that instill your anger
On an energetic level, reoccurring anger builds an esoteric form similar to an entity. It recalls how you acted in the past and feeds your disturbing actions even though you do not want to be that way. Addressing this form and removing it will help lessen the buildup of your anger.
In a quiet moment, still your thoughts, breathe into your heart and feel a shift from your everyday activities.

- Does it have a shape?
- Observe where it resides in your body?
- How long has it haunted you? Probably more than a day or two.
