Do you ever have one of those days when things just don’t feel right. Maybe your sad, perhaps confused but definitely off. So what do you do to improve your situation?
The first thing it to embrace the feeling. Notice where it is in your body and then be with that emotion in the moment. Thoughts no doubt will arise as you try to figure out the source of your discomfort but do not let that lead you astray. Follow the direction of your body. If it wants to rest then become immobile. Let it cry, express remorse or anger. All of these are ways to move past the feelings that disrupts your everyday life.
As you embrace what is, there will come a time when you feel neutral to the previous emotions. That is the time to get outside and move your body. Even if it is only for 15 minutes. Nature has a way of clearing the negativity and energizing you. Stay present while you walk. Observe the sky, vegetation and the breeze. Let Mother Nature be your source of comfort and healing.
