On a recent trip to San Francisco, a sculpture caught my eye. The exhibit, “The Public & the Private” by artist Urs Fischer, depicts a mother who bends over backwards to please her family. The question arises, “Who do I bend over backwards for and who does the same for me? Could I be more honest in my actions towards others?”
When we do what we think we “should” be doing rather than expressing ourselves from our heart, it can create resentment. Over time it will add to your everyday stress and begin to deplete your vital life force causing dis-ease in your body.
Just for a moment look at the scenarios you have built in your mind or in your life. Whether imagined or experienced, both will deteriorate your physical or mental health.
If you need help revealing where you are depleting your energy I can assist. Here’s to honest living.
In the light,
Marnie
