Mother’s Day just past and everyone has a mom who has impacted our lives. Whether your mom treated you kindly or not she did influence your life. The good moms we aspire to and even the not so good ones have influenced and taught us lessons as well.
In order to learn from our experiences we need to be open to see different perspectives. But how do we get past the dark of the hurt in order to reveal the light? I’ll show you. To practice this exercise if you had one of those “Leave it to Beaver” moms, think about a person you do not want to be like.
Put yourself in that person’s shoes. Think about the stress they were under at the time or how they experienced their childhood. Think about how you would react in the same situation.
Have you ever been in a similar situation? If you responded differently than them then you have changed the old genetic pattern and made a lasting change for your ancestors and future family members.
If in a similar situation, you were following your old genetic patterns now just imagine you had reacted positively. Because what we think; we are.
What we do does affect others. Pick your words carefully and make your actions kind.
